ABOUT INCOME ECO RUN
Income Eco Run is Southeast Asia’s premier eco-run which champions environmental conservation and aims to encourage everyone to play their part in supporting the cause for zero waste.
The 2020 edition will take place on Sunday, 26 April 2020, at the F1 Pit Building, and includes the following categories:
• 21.1km Half Marathon
• 10km / 10km Mixed Team
• Zero Waste 5km Run
• 1.2km Cool Kids Dash
• 800m Cool Kids Dash
2020 is a momentous year for Income as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, and we are proud to champion our green cause for another year. This year, we hope to make a bigger impact on our journey towards zero waste and we invite you to join us on this cause.
As part of our efforts, all runners will be presented with a reusable produce bag, demonstrated with its usage at the finish line. We want to encourage all participants to make a conscious choice in using it to store loose produce with every grocery run. This would significantly reduce the use of single-use plastics in the long haul.
We are also going bib-less for the Zero Waste 5km Run and the Cool Kids Dash as one of our new initiatives in the race towards zero waste. All bib numbers will be printed directly on the running singlets. Think of all that material saved – you’re guaranteed to look good and feel good!
And just like in 2019, we will be equipping all ‘Zero Waste Runners’ in 2020 with light and handy reusable cups. New ‘Zero Waste Runners’ for these categories - 10km and 21.1km Half Marathon are encouraged to use the reusable cups during the race too. All runners in the Zero Waste 5km category will receive these cups as well, as part of our bid to make hydration stations for this category 100% paper cup-free. Of course, all previous ‘Zero Waste Runners’ are welcome to bring along their reusable cups once again.
